For the 2023 Social Media Ambassador (SMA) program, four graduate students or early career researchers will be selected to post about the °µÍø³Ô¹Ï conference before and during the conference using °µÍø³Ô¹Ï’s different social media channels (Twitter and LinkedIn). Applications will be open through June and SMAs will be announced in early July.

Selected applicants will start to serve as °µÍø³Ô¹Ï SMAs in July after meeting with the °µÍø³Ô¹Ï Internet Committee. Throughout their time as SMAs, selected applicants will be working with the °µÍø³Ô¹Ï Internet Committee for orientation, coordination, access to social media platforms, and debriefing.

To promote the tutorials on Monday, October 2, 2023, SMAs will be able to attend up to two tutorials of their choice for free as well as the subsequent evening event.

SMA duties:

• Before the conference: SMAs will post about the Conference in general, including announcements about special symposia and plenary speakers.
• During the conference: SMAs will post alerts for upcoming sessions, and during/after each session, they will post short summaries and highlights from different tracks and plenaries.
• One SMA will be designated to each plenary, and the posts shall include the name of °µÍø³Ô¹Ï award winners as they are announced onstage.
• Each SMA shall be expected to produce about five posts per day for each day of the conference.
• Additional posts can be made through the SMA’s personal social media accounts.

SMAs will receive free registration for the Conference plus a $500 travel grant if they stay in the conference hotel or a $300 travel grant if they stay elsewhere.
