International Awards
The is the premier international prize in aerosol science and is sponsored by °µÍø³Ô¹Ï, GAeF and JAAST. Presented every four years at the International Aerosol Conference, the award memorializes Nikolai Albertovich Fuchs, the great Russian scientist who is regarded by many as the “father of aerosol science.” The award recognizes outstanding worldwide contributions to the field of aerosol research.
The is granted by the International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA) to recognize international collaboration in the field of aerosol science and technology between researchers/engineers residing on at least two different continents.
The is presented by the International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA), of which °µÍø³Ô¹Ï is a founding member. The biennial award recognizes outstanding contributions to aerosol science and technology through research, technical development, education, and/or service.

The 2026 Fuchs Memorial Award

The Fuchs Memorial Award Committee invites nominations for the 2026 Award, to be presented at the in Xian, China, August 30 - September 5, 2026.
This award, established in honor of the late Professor Nikolai Albertovich Fuchs (1895-1982), is given every four years in recognition of exceptionally meritorious research contributions to the field of aerosol science and technology. The award is intended as a continuing recognition of Professor Fuchs’ contributions to the international scientific community, as well as a means of encouraging the same high standards among contemporary scientists in conducting aerosol research.
The are published on the . Questions concerning the award can be directed to the Award Committee Chair, Pratim Biswas. The deadline for nominations is April 3, 2026. The nominating materials, which must include a nominating letter, CV, and at least three and up to six supporting letters, should be submitted electronically by email as a single PDF file to the Award Committee Chair by the deadline date. Nominators will receive a return acknowledgement email from the Award Committee Chair to confirm receipt.
